A word from the Nobel Prize Winner

On December 10th 1998, three Americans received the Nobel Prize in Medicine for discovering that the body uses Nitric Oxide gas to make blood vessels relax and widen. Dr. Louis J. Ignarro one of the laureate also wrote the book No more heart disease and he said:

"You do not have to wait for the rest of the world to see the light--and the drug companies to put new Nitric Oxide-based prescription drugs on the market--in order to take advantage of what Nitric Oxide has to offer. Even if you have high blood pressure, have suffered a heart attack, or are at high risk...You can beat the odds. The power to lead an entirely new and healthier life is in your hands. Carpe Diem--Seize the day! Start boosting your Nitric Oxide production right now!“

These are pictures from the Nobel Prize Organization's website (http://www.nobelprize.org) describing the NO effect with pictures.

So what has Arginine and Nitric Oxide in common?
Well Arginine is the precurser to Nitric Oxide, meaning that when taking Arginine it will convert to Nitric Oxide in the body. So therefore is Arginine so important in Cardio Vascular Health.
